Project Manager

Reelwell AS is revolutionising the energy industry by enabling data integration and electrification of wells, from drilling to production. Our flagship product line, DualLink, delivers a high-bandwidth, powered telemetry network from surface to downhole, transforming how wells are drilled and produced while enhancing efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

To support our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Operations Team.

As Project Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for clients, with overall responsibility for project delivery, both technical and commercial, from contract negotiation through execution and follow-up.

This role suits a technically strong professional who thrives in fast-paced, data-driven environments. If you're ready to work with high-speed telemetry, enable real-time decision-making, and optimise performance in dynamic drilling environments – we want to hear from you.

Please note: Candidates must hold valid work authorisation in Norway. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Act as the primary liaison between the client and project teams, with overall responsibility for technical execution, commercial follow-up, and contractual obligations.

  • Ensure all assigned activities comply with QHSE standards, client requirements, and applicable regulations.

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of project delivery, including coordination of partners and third-party vendor work scopes.

  • Work closely with management, engineering, and operations managers to validate roadmaps, set priorities, and provide estimates.

  • Attend and contribute to daily rig calls, planning meetings, and other client sessions as required.

  • Provide informed input to support strategic decisions related to project delivery and operational performance.

  • Take an active role in DWOPs, HAZOPs, EOWRs, and other pre- and post-operational planning activities.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in drilling and well operations, with a solid understanding of MWD / LWD, downhole tools, rig operations, and well construction.

  • Proven experience in offshore operations, technical sales, project execution, and client relationship management is essential.

  • Strong technical and commercial acumen, with the ability to translate client needs into tailored solutions.

  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Expected to prepare and deliver presentations, technical documentation, and client proposals with clarity and professionalism.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform under pressure.

Preferred experience:

  • Background in WDP, geosteering, or formation evaluation.

  • Experience with remote data integration, rig communications, and real-time data platforms.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).

  • Relevant certifications (e.g. IWCF, offshore safety training) and additional languages are advantageous.

We offer a high-impact role where you will work with cutting-edge drilling technologies and make a real difference. You will be part of a collaborative, innovative, and global team, with competitive conditions, flexible working, and opportunities for professional development.
