Reelwell AS have announced the appoint of William Restrepo to serve on the Board of Directors. Restrepo is Chief Financial Officer of Nabors, a DualLink development partner, along with Aker-BP, Equinor, DP Master and the Research Council Norway.
Prior to joining Nabors in March 2014, Restrepo served as CFO at Pacific Drilling. He also previously served as CFO at Seitel and at Smith International until its acquisition by Schlumberger. Before this, Restrepo spent 20 years with Schlumberger in various senior financial and operational positions internationally. Speaking of the appointment, company Chairman Jørgen Peter Rasmussen said: "The board is delighted to welcome William Restrepo, demonstrating how much Nabors value their investment and the future success of Reelwell. Having known William for 20 years, I know he will make a huge positive impact on the company." With the appointment of Restrepo, Reelwell's board consists of five members, including: Jørgen Peter Rasmussen, Trevor Burgess, Dr. John L. Thorogood and Olav Lindtjorn. The appointment comes as Reelwell moves forward with the latter stages of development and testing of the DualLink powered wired drill pipe project with commercialisation planned for 2019.
