System Engineer - Ex responsible
Reelwell is revolutionising the future of the energy industry: enabling the integration of data , and electrification on a powered digital network. Our main product line DualLink enables the acceleration of the energy industry’s digital transformation by providing an open access, high telemetry rate network powered from surface via drillpipe or completions tubing. Our technology unlocks critical improvements in wellsite efficiency, production and sustainability.
To support our growth, we’re now strengthening our Product Development team with a System Engineer with special focus on Ex products.
As a System Engineer you will be at the very core of the product development team, making sure that all parts and disciplines of the product align and that the final product meets the requirements we have set. Together with mechanical and electrical engineers, your task is to find the best design solutions in a conceptual phase as well as creating structured and efficient ways of verifying and testing the resulting product.
As the Ex responsible engineer in the team, you will have special focus on ensuring that the best Ex protection methods are selected, that the design is performed according to standards, and to follow up the certification process. An important part of the role is to ensure the organization develops and manufactures product in compliance with requirements and relevant standards and regulations.

We’re looking for someone with experience and knowledge in several of these
areas:

Product requirements and design for hazardous area (Ex, ATEX, IECx)

Oil & gas industry standards
-
Regulatory standards (e.g. EU harmonized standards)

Structured product development processes
Your actual knowledge is more important than your formal background. Relevant engineering background could be electronics, electrical or control systems, but electro-mechanical and other could be considered. Knowledge of industry standards is preferred, especially standards for equipment designed for hazardous areas.
You must have a valid work permit for employment in Norway.
