We now need to strengthen our Product Development team with an Ex Engineer.

Ex Engineer - Design of Ex certified products

 

Our product development projects include multiple disciplines: software, electronics, electrical and mechanical. As an Ex Engineer you will be at the very core of the product development team, interfacing different disciplines like electronics and mechanical design, making sure that all parts of the product align and that the final product meets the requirements we have set, especially related to installation and operation in hazardous areas. 

Some of your responsibilities will be to find the best protection concepts in a product development phase, develop the solutions in tandem with mechanical and other engineers, interfacing with notifying bodies as well as following up and controlling any design changes on certified products. An important part of the role is to ensure the organization develops and manufactures product in compliance with requirements and relevant standards and regulations. 

In this role, your specific knowledge is more important than your formal background. Relevant engineering background could be electronics, electrical or control systems, but electro-mechanical and other could be considered. You have good knowledge of standards relevant for equipment designed for hazardous areas. Knowledge of other regulatory and industry standards is beneficial.
