Reelwell Drilling Method (RDM) - Successful Completion of Onshore Pilot Well
Excellent results were achieved using the Reelwell Drilling Method (RDM) in onshore pilot well, March 2009.
Reelwell AS challenges conventional drilling and introduces the Reelwell Drilling Method (RDM).
- The method implies accurate pressure management and improved well control through closed loop fluid circulation, especially attractive for Managed Pressure Drilling (MPD) and Underbalanced Drilling (UBD).
- Through hydraulic Weight On Bit (WOB), RDM pushes limits for Extended Reach Drilling (ERD).
- With all circulation being confined in the dual drill string, the method facilitates Deep Water Drilling.
The RDM increases hydrocarbon recovery while reducing environmental impact.
